#ALSIceBucketChallenge Flashdance Parody (sorta)

So there’s this little thing going on around social media call the ALS #IceBucketChallenge.
If you haven’t heard of it yet, first let me say:
“Hi, welcome to the internet. You must be new here.”
Second, let me hit you with some info:

WHAT IS THE ALS ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE?
“The challenge involves people getting doused with buckets of ice water on video, posting that video to social media, then nominating others to do the same, all in an effort to raise ALS awareness. People can either accept the challenge or make a donation to an ALS Charity of their choice, or do both.”
The deal typically is to donate $10 if you accept and complete the challenge within 24 hours and donate $100 if you don’t.

WHAT IS ALS?
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to their death. When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages of the disease may become totally paralyzed.
ALS is more commonly know as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

  6. Hahahahaha! Jenn I love you! You rock!!! I’ve been nominated a couple of times and I also have the attitude of “you’re not my mama, I’ll do it when I damn well please!” Me…the cold does bother me, so as soon as I get my video made I’ll have my credit card out with a hefty, I didn’t feel obligated or guilty but I’m doing it anyway, $100 donation. I’m busting into my starbucks fund…I may need more hilarious videos from you to make me less cranky for the next few months 😉

  9. No. You. Didn’t. I was JUST talking with someone about how we should’ve done a Flashdance throw-back, but I knew I would just drop the bucket on my face. This is hilarious!!!!!!!
